Default Help Needed in buying a used Honda Accord car!!

I am planning to buy a used Honda Accord. I am planning to invest upto 12K$. I saw a deal, in which the dealer quoted a price of 11K$ for 2005 Accord LX Sedan with 49K miles. I checked the carfax, the title seems clean but I saw that the vehicle is "sold in auction in pacific region as part of the fleet vehicle." Now, what does this mean? Is it safe to buy this car?

It means the car was used as a fleet vehicle, either as a rental, or a business car. I'd have it checked out THOROUGHLY if I were you.

Thanks for the reply. The thing that got me worried was that the kbb suggested price is 13,975$ (for excellent condition), but the dealer quote is 11,995$. Why would any dealer sell it less than kbb price if something is not wrong with the car?

*slaps head*

And the ignorance just keeps on going.....

My advice... get online and actually LOOK UP the reliability rating from the people that DRIVE THE CARS... don't listen to Consumer Reports and all of them, they are PAID to write what they write. Read the actual owners blogs and make up your own mind. Buick has lead reliablilty ratings overall for the last 10 years. But don't take my word for it.

I wouldn't talk fruit-bag... you haven't said anything intelligible in 2 years!

Consumer Reports is based on who pays them the most, end of story.

I miss cyco

anyway, hondas are reliable but so are toyotas and chevys and even hyundais if you take car of them. the important thing is not the brand, its how you take care of your car.

anyway as the fleet car thing, I wouldn't buy it, rentals are usually beat on.
