Default Newbie: Good for a '97 GS @ 60k?

Hey all,

Looking at a '97 Eclipse GS with 60K miles on it.

Has a new:
CAI (which looks to be an offbrand)
SparkPlugs with Wires
Headers (which look to be Custom made)
2.5" exhaust with new Muffler and Highflow exhaust (not sure of brand)
17" Rims (again not sure of brand) and tires

Body is good, few scuffs and one small dent in door.

Sticker Price $8995
Car Haggeled down to $7500
Car "Out the door" with T+T+L and 4-year 50K Powertrain warrenty comes to $8500 (will haggle more to get a bit cheaper)

Thoughts?
Is this a good price for the car?
Are the engines on this Long-Lasting (300k) like Honda?

Thanks all for your help!

it looks like i'm getting a negitive responce about this '97 GS  ;D ;D ;D

I was talking to a few other guys who were telling me that one of these years had major engine problems but knowone knew which year of Eclipse it was.

Anyone have insight on this?

Thanks again all, i'll stay away from that machine ;D

the 95' and later eclipses had a major crank walk problem that usually showed up higher in miles and on modified engines, i ws reading an article at magnus motorsports about this where they took a coupl engines and cut them in every way you could think of to see what differences there are in the 94' and before engines and the 95' and after engines, the most permanent fix for this that ive heard of is using the 94 and before engines

Thanks!
