Default Rx7

hey well i recently was looking at cars cause at the end of the school year ill be getting a new car and i really really like the Rx7's, especially the 1993. so i just wanted to come in here and ask what are the pros and cons of this car? also if i got one for 15k i have 22k to spend so what kind of upgrades could i make with 7k? i want it to go fast, i also might buy an older model like a 85 or something for cheaper and pimp it out, so where are some places i could go look at prices of stuff to upgrade an Rx7?

I cant tell you an exact price on a v8, depends on which one you want to use and where you buy it.

You could have a little fun with it before you rip out the rotary Mazda Rotary Club Cars - Australia, from the old www.mymazdarotary.com

The FD RX7 is a sweet platform.

Pros: Lightweight; awesome chassis and suspension; can make great power in near-stock configuration; takes a variety of engine swaps if you're into that; looks gorgeous;

Cons: high-maintenance; high cost of car and parts;

If I bought a running car in good condition and had $7k left over, I'd take car of all necessary maintenance. By that, I mean have all factory-spec'd maintenance taken care of, fix other known issues, and replace all fluids/filters etc.

Wait until you have the car and know everything about it before modifying it. Otherwise, you might just shoot yourself in the foot.

These cars are very demanding but reward you with an awesome driving experience.
