Default Spy Shots: ’05 Mitsu Eclipse

http://www.thecarconnection.com/index.asp?article=6345

The first pictures of Mitsubishi's sporty Eclipse, code name PS24S, show a much larger coupe with lots of Mitsubishi styling cues.

Likely based on the Galant platform, the next Eclipse will arrive late in the 2005 model year, or possibly for 2006. The Galant, the Eclipse, and the Endeavor crossover ute are based on Mitsu's "Project America" platform; the Galant and Endeavor are built at the Mitsubishi facility in Normal, Ill., where the Eclipse will be assembled as well.

Damn, they got that car heavily covered up. Doesn't look too bad from as far as I can tell, as far as half covered cars go.

I was wondering the same thing myself. It's either some type of hood scoop thing, or they just used some type of "filler" to confuse people what the car's gonna look like.

If this thing is even halfway decent I'm buying one on principle. The first car I ever bought was a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX. I love the things. I just did a nut and bolt restoration on mine and sent it to Korea. I bought another one that I keep in Boston and I'm thinking of getting another one, if I find one in good shape, for foul weather driving and some track use. Right now the Corvette follows me around wherever I travel, but I really miss my GSX.

Cheers

Yea..from the basic shape I think its pretty bad. I like the Gen 2's and Gen 1's..the Gen 3 has been horrifiyingly ugly.
