Default Lancer EVO VI Tommi Makinen Edition....

What is TME based on? The GSR(one with all the bell whistle like Active Center Diff, Active Yaw Control, ABS...etc) or RS(stripped interior, mechanical center diff, no TC or ABS)? Just wondering....

BTW, I got a 1/18 of TME last month....

If I'm not very much mistaken it's the GSR with uprated (uncomfortable) suspensions and stiffer chasis. But of course I'm not a mitsu person so i dont really know for sure, but from most of the TME that I've sat in, i think it's the GSR.

I thought the GSR was the base model with the least power and the most features.

RS is the stripped down version (about 70kg lighter than GSR if I'm not mistaken). The GSR is fully loaded with them OZs, power windows and stuffs like that.

Dont hurt yourself racingmaniac, it's just a modified go-quick econobox with a AWD, reinforced chasis and turbocharged engine Trust me when Mitsubishi designed the lancer chasis, they dont have rally racing in their mind.

TME is based on the GSR...

GSR have all the technical, A/C, and comfort

the RS is basically the car a race team would buy, steelie wheels (i THINK slightly smaller too, i forgot)...stripped down, no AC, radio or AYC that stuff

I think the RS comes with the AYC, Torsen and titanium turbo wheel (not avail on GSR) but no ABS. It also came with a close ratio gearbox, qiucker steering wheel ratio, front strut bar, front and rear cross bar, rear LSD, twin clutch plate, non SRS momo wheel, about 100kg lighter (it got 15" 2 pot front brake vs the GSR 17" 4 pot Brembo) and a much shorter wheel tread. Thats all i know

no AYC or TCS, but a mechanical based center and rear LSD.

well as far as I know a tommi makkinen is just a supped up Evo Rs. But ya are u guys talking about the usa models or wat???

Cuz u cant just get a lancer Rs. You can get a GSR RS and an EVO Rs but not a lancer RS. Amd the lancer models go as such:

Lancer GLX base model no turbo

Lancer GLXi Base model with power stuff no turbo

Lancer GSR a suped up turbocharged 4 wheel drive with all the bells and whistles
Lancer GSR Rs a lightweigt version of the above with no whistles :P

Lancers Evos are the top of the line fastest turbo model with all elecs cd player better clutch basicly the rally edition with creature comforts.
And the EVO Rs is the same without creature comforts

And the EVO TME is the top of line with bells and whistles but weight reduction in other places and it has a bigger turbo ( or turbine) a bigger intercooler better headers, etc....

Hopefully that is tru and can help

And Ive driven 4 out of those models :p
I love my job
