This is why Alfa stopped selling in the USA back in 1996.... cannot compete with the American Icons!

Any car enthusiast knows that vehicles cost a lot more in Europe than in the USA for the same model. The "American Icons" are also getting their asses handed to them in sales because when it comes down to it, you simply dont get as many features for the money, and the build quality of new american vehicles is crap , especially GM ( with the sole exception of the GTO and the Cobalt ).. Ford at least seems to be getting their act together as far as build quality goes however, same with Chrysler.

As someone else said, straight line speed isnt everything, some people want exclusivity, style, handling, or just something different.

Anyway, Alfa will have to keep their prices in line with the German models if they want to be competitive. They have nothing to fear from sales of american models, euro models and Lexus will be their only true competitors.

Did you know that the 3 series BMW out sells the Ford Mondeo in the UK, it is a very common car over here, Alfas on the other hand sell only in small amounts, for myself this is good as in the town i live in there are only 3 Alfa 156s & mine is the only V6 that i know about.
Any way here are a few more pics of the new Alfa Romeo Brera.
Stu

wow wow hold a minute there. i cant believe what i am hearing you are telling us you dont want alfa romes in the us. wind your neck in i have an alfa romeo 155 and i tell you what see that car in your picture mate it would eat it and spit the rest of that shitty american engine out its exhaust on the track. the only reason that they dont bring it to america is that your stupid straight roads are boaring and alfas are built for proper roads.
