1. fender and possibly chassis is rusty. 2. he is origional owner. 3. doesnt run but they have est. $700 of parts to make it run 4. interior is ripped to shreads ive asked around and ive heard everything from $800 to $10,000 as an a suggested offer. could anyone narrow this down for me? and if not is there any information on the car i could get to help you help me? |

theres truth to that. he isnt looking to sell it but he will if someone comes to him. because right now all the car is doing is sitting in a garage somewhere in cleveland. so he is wasting money.

It'd be hard to say what a good offer would be, but you should absolutely buy it. It's rare to find a 1st gen camaro that still has a 6 cylinder in it. Most have been swapped for V8's by now. It'll be worth BIG BUCK$$$ if you can get it running and looking good again.

Check the internet and see if you can replace the entire interior with aftermarket parts. You probably can. Don't worry if it doesn't run, unless you have to have something that runs soon. Be VERY carefull about the rust on the unibody, basically from the firewall back. If a front fender or hood is rusty it's not a big deal. Personally, if it had more than just surface rust (firewall back) , I wouldn't touch it. But it depends on how rich you are, and what you want out of it. Keep in mind that these cars are well supported by the aftermarket. It just takes $$$.
BTW, they're pretty neat cars, IMO. |
