Default Need answer on my moisture sensing wiper

Here the thing..my 03 olds has the moisture sensing windshield wipers that come on automatically when it start raining...last week, after a drizzle, they won't stop going on and on. I try to override the system by switching the wiper to off but nothing does..i had to take the fuse out to make it stop..somebody out there to tell me what the heck's wrong ...some opinion said it's the switch assembly gone bad..i 'm not for sure
