Can someone help me get the right tires?

I have a 99 Toyota Camry and the tires that I have on there are 205 60r14 89h are not getting it done traction wise. I was wondering if any of you guys could give me the specs on the tires that you would recommend that had more traction tread on them? That would be better for gripping.

though i can recommend a specific brand/line if you tell me what type of conditions you drive in and prioritize treadlife, traction, comfort, quietness.

if thats factory tire size, im willing to bet that 215 series tire is as big as you can go, with 225 series the max.

i really want a 315 tire on my car (275) but it just cant be done safely

You can't put a 315 on a F-body? Hell, SN-95 Stangs can hold 315's in the rear.

I am not sure but try for P205/65R15 92H ..it has an overall diameter of 25.5 inches .It is actually enough to get some error, though they will fit on the car with no clearance issues.Just make sure from somebody else that it will fit your car or not..
