My 91 Honda Accord has 213,000 miles on it and I was wondering what weight of oil I should use? For winter and for summer driving. Outside temps for summer can get up to 100 degrees. While in the winter it will rarely get down to 10.

    Let me know thanks!

    the weight the manual recommends.

it's dependent on engine design and temperature. not number of miles.

the frequency can change with large number of miles sometimes, like my friends 93 taurus says change every 2000 miles after 200k. Then the manual says nothing about anything after 200k in his case, guess ford doesn't have faith in their own products lol

I would recommend a high mileage conventional oil.

What about using 20w40 oil for summer? The manual says with that oil it can go down to a little below 20F and past 100F.

And then for the winter use 10w40? It says in the manual that it can go down to 0F and up past 100F.

just buy a high mileage oil like valvoline max life. run the 5w30 the the manual calls for. If you really want to run something else the only thing i would is 10w30 in the summer months.
