Sometimes when I drive my car and i put the pedal to the floor, or sometimes just regular driving at acceleration my car will make a rattle or pinging sound. sounds like its coming from diriver side and sometimes passenger side. it doesnt do it all the time... Hmm I wonder whats going on... ANy ideas??

Do you have a Service engine light, sounds kinda like a cat rattling around.

sounds like you might be having KR(knock retard) problems.
how long has the problem been going on, do you notice any other sypmtoms? poor accel, poor gas mileage?
run some high octane gas through the next time, preferably shell or chevron.
    keep us updated.

to check for the bad cat, get under your car near the front of the exhaust while it's running. if you can hear a rattling from the cat(a metal canister on your exhaust), then that might be your problem.

if it's someting wrong with octane and timing, you probably won't hear it.

is it worse while under load, such as going up a hill?

Yes it is worse going up a hill, and where is the cat convertor located at on a vehicle and what does it look like, ive been running high octane gas with booster and its still the same. it does it every now and then on level ground but when you go up a hill its worse. This problem has been going on for a while, and i still have cranking problems. I cant afford to take it to a shop so I get all the ideas possible I can and try to come up with a solution. Im not good at cars, but I do know some things.

And no, check engine light isnt on. When it was it read 2 codes, cylinder 1 misfire that was when it was shaking real bad, and i gave it a fuel inj service and changed spark plugs and it was reading out something about the coolant temp sensor so i went to dealer and bought an acdelco CTS. Replaced that, but im still having the intermittent starting problems it will crank and then it dies as soon as it cranks... arghh!

The GT is the naturally-aspirated motor, it's very hard to get pinging from the N/a motor unless something else is seriously wrong. My recommendation is to try higher octane fuel (91-93) for a while, see if it makes the problem go away. If it does, you have an issue with knock, a situation where gasoline gets hot in the engine from compression alone and detonates before it's supposed to. Could be caused by a multitude of things, and it's next to impossible to diagnose over the internet.

Again - if you try the higher octane fuel, and it "fixes" the problem, it would be best to bring it to a garage for further repair.

Intermittent starting problems can be for a multitude of reasons as well. What sounds do you hear when the engine does not want to start? Is the starter cranking at all? Or is it just making a click and not turning at all?

There was a list of mods/future mods here, but the list kept changing/updating too rapidly to keep up in a sig. So... screw it.

it's trying to start kinda seems like something's spinning real fast like a whizz sound, and then its like coughing because it cant crank... really weird... I wonder if a place that has a computer like auto zone can hook it up and tell me anything???

Usually - all Autozone can do is check engine codes when your check engine light is on.
