    Hello. I have a simple task to do butu i don't really know how to do it. I need to extend a threaded bolt. So i need the original bolt. an extra bolt with the same thread... then does anyone know how i would attach them togethere?>

    ...just buy a longer bolt, same thread pattern.

    wow...thats next to impossible without damaging the threads. Any reason why you cant just find/buy a longer one???

    they make/sell extra long nuts so you can thread two screws together...
    For better mileage, adjust the nut behind the steering wheel.

    get a threaded rod, locktite one nut flush with the rod.

    allthread with double nuts and locktite. One rod of allthread is 8' and you cut it to length

    ok thanks alot guys... and the reason i can't buy just a longer bolt is cuz the bolt is to a wheel for a creeper and i lost the little special nut that holds it to the creeper.

    ...you can buy nuts too. How is it special??? Is it a locknut or something??? Whatever it is, your local hardware store should have one.

    yeh i looked at the local hardware store and they had the same kind.. its a nut but the end of the nut has a circular extension around it so it holds to the creeper. i guess i gotta go find the right one tho
