Anyone tried an electric supercharger, turbocharger? I know these superchargers are sketchy but even if it delivers a fraction of their claim it'd be worth it. I saw this electricchargers dot (com). They claim to have one for my Civic. I think there's a few others. Anyone actually tried one?

    Thanks,
    Jordan

youd have better luck shoving a huge computer fan in your intake. they move air. no boost is created whatsoever. and when they freeze up, you suck in parts n pieces through your motor.

    have fun!

yeah, its impossible to create air pressure, at the velocity and volume that the engine needs from just a little electric fan.. unless it was 100% effeicient and used 30,000 watts to make enough power to do so....but its just not possible...

I remember watching the vid of those guys using a leaf blower and gaining 10hp with it.

My neighbor fell for that scam. He tried turning it on before installing it and it was about as strong as a hair dryer. Not even close to the pressure needed. THe engine sucks air in my itself more than that thing can create.

they are garbage, this one kid I know has 2 of them on his dodge neon and he runs an intercooler with them because he says that they make so much boost and he tested it with a vacuum gauge.

Yea...no....it's possible...but not with what they give you. You could do it on a 12 volt system and not run more than 30Amps I bet. Thats what? 210ish watts? same as a house system but they run at a bigger Amperage
