but if you have a dms talon? and it has the stock turbo, just upgrade the turbo....if it is a non turbo dsm than id say find the stock turbo

ok, i gotta ?, does the smaller turbo actually spool up the larger turbo, or does it spool up the egine enough to spool up the bigger motor?

It spools up and gets the air in and exhaust out flowing enough to spool the larger turbo when it transitions over and the pre-spool actuator opens and activates the second turbo.

thanks. a buddy of mine tried to tell me that the smaller turbo moves the air in a closed system that spools up the larger turbo. that just didnt seem to make sense to me. i just wanted to clear that up.Originally Posted by CF-Mike

so am I understanding that the sequential turbo setup doesn't eliminate turbo lag, but it makes for a sort of distribution of the turbo lag to make it more tolerant?

No.... there isn't any turbo lag because the primary, smaller turbo, spools up quickly to get things going.
