car audio, children, and pickyness. need help

Very powerful speaker for the money, not sure it could compete sound quality wise with a focal or a Kappa but they push a lot more power for 1/5 the cost (of the Focals)

I believe so if we go with the kappa components, they put out a lot of sound and clarity off not a lot of power, I have a set of reference series infinity components in the doors of my truck and im only putting 50watts rms to them and can crank it to loud without it hurting lol. I figure one redtop under the hood, and one in the trunk for the system. Im really unsure if the wife is going to go for it though. Shes all for the dash and fiberglass work but shes not fond of the doors and trunk lol.

Lol once she hears it she'll be on board with you. But I'm sure the Infinitys will do the trick, even just the stock Golds from way back when did a decent job keepin up with the two 12" Kenwoods I had.

Infinity has always done well by me i mean hell back in highschool my gf had a lumina with 2 reference 4x6 plates in the dash, no rear speakers or anything else since we couldent afford em, and 2 kicker dcvr12 in a box and those two plate speakers kept up with the 1000 watts in the trunk lol

Lol exactly. My system was around 900 RMS and the gols barely broke a sweat. Until my friend decided it'd be funny to pull a couple fuses and screw the shit out of my system... 2 blown subs, a blown amp, a blown speaker, and a blown tweeter later, I's pissed.

Have you started the build at all? Should definitely put some pics up for us! I've always been interested in doin fiberglass work but never known how haha
