they are reliable most if not all gmc's are great vehicals any year is good i love 90's gmcs but any would do if you where to get one i would get a more current Jimmy to get what you would want out of it


uh, that's debateable. your ball joints will for sure be shot. The valve body will more then likely have the harsh 1-2 shift if it has never been serviced and if it hasn't, you'll more then likely be running into some tranny issues. They like to blow ignition switches and crank sensors.
All in all they aren't bad but they tend to nickel and dime you to death from my experience with them.
I've owned a 93 and 97 series.
same with mine. i think i tallied it up once on here, me and my dad have put over 7500$ back into the car. and that does not include purchase price which was 3500$. AND it still doesnt include that new distributor i had to get and the fuel system problems i had 2 weeks ago.
