How would I describe this car: Quick Econobox. When Dodge advertised this car as the second fastest car in the Dodge line up they where not kidding. I bought one in October 2004 and have had a smile on my face ever since. If I would have known all the people, I would meet because of this car I'd have gotten it sooner.

| CarForums.net Review of the 2005 Dodge SRT4 |
Price as tested- $21,000
Exterior
The first thing you notice is the rear wing. Its big and is right in the middle of the rear view mirror. As you walk around the car you'll see SRT-4 badging on the trunk, and two chrome exhaust tips. The 17x6 stock rims in 04 are wrapped in BFG 205-50-17, they are skinny and noisy. The hood scoop on the car is functional and routs to the back of the engine bay to cool the TD04 16g Turbo. Upon seeing the front of the car you will see the (FMIC) Front Mount Inter-cooler. Other then that, it is just a Neon body with a few appearance upgrades. Nothing too special.
Interior
The interior is pretty basic. It has tasteful chrome accents and a small vacuum/boost gauge. The seats are very supportive, but may cause larger people some discomfort. There are several convenient cup holders, but for the most part the interior is very basic. Not many improvements from the normal Neon interior.

Performance
The engine is a 2.4 liter turbo, that puts out 240WHP. When you first start the SRT-4 you will notice it's loud; the exhaust has no muffler but two small resonators. All SRT-4's come with a 5 speed manual transmission. The transmission itself is a truck transmission and is notchy, but can handle horsepower upwards of 500+ WHP.
There are many upgrade paths that people take, I chose the Mopar path. Mopar offers HP packages, handling packages and turbo upgrade packages. This is a big help as it is always nice when the manufacturer provides assistance and a warranty for your upgrade choices.

EPA Observed Fuel Economy (miles per gallon): 22 city 30 highway
Overall Score: 8 out of a possible 10
---------------------------------------------
High points: Cheap speed, and the car takes very well to modifications.
Low points: Cheap interior, if your butt is too big you'll hate the viper seats..
