Hey guys,
A week or so ago my beat up rusted 160k mile exhaust fell off completely. Since I have some free time i decided to order the parts and attempt my first exhaust replacement. So i got all the parts today. I put on a new catalytic converter which was stock and it fit Perfect. So me being the cheap guy that I am i bought an catback exhaust system on ebay for only $160.

Ok ok im getting to the point...

This catback system doesnt fit perfect, they welded 2 of the pipe stands on the wrong side! Wtf! The rubber grommets are on the other side. So me being a welder without a machine, I am stuck with 4 options and i need your guys help!

1. Take it to a exhaust shop to finish the job [ cut the 2 stands off for me and weld them on the other side]
2. Rig it up with some kind of clamp or wires.
3. Somehow remove or add need stands where i need them. Can you buy exhaust stands at general hardware stores?
4. Take it down to the place i learned to weld and cut off the 2 stands with a grinder and then tig weld it? Ive never welded on a exhaust before, is it okay to tig it?

What do you guys think is the best route?

cut the hangers off the pipe and reweld them on right, or after they are off, make new ones.

Almost ALL ebay exhausts have problems like this. Take it to a shop and cut and weld. Shouldn't cost but $100.

dude, at least put in some holes in the exhaust to make it sound better.

But another thing why didn't you take a free flow exhaust because you save petrol and it give a better sound and you pay less.

see you!
