ok so im looking at this 03 eclipse gs 81k miles for 8k. good carfax and i think its a fairly decent deal. test drove great and everything clean carfax. but to the point ;) my insurance company is going to charge me 220$ for it! no way i can offord that.

so my question is what do you guys pay for you insurance on your eclipse? thanks for replys <3

Don't buy it. The 2000-2005 were the worst Eclipses every built. They rust prematurely, the clear coat fades on them, and they are very unreliable.

what would you suggest then?

There are too many to list. It's easier for you to suggest a car and then see what others have to say about them.

I am a guru of the DSMs which include the Eclipse from 1989-200x, and I am telling you that the 2000-2005 Eclipse is crap.

Why are you going to pay $8,000.00 for a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS. I bought mine (automatic transmission with tiptronic) for only $5,500.00 and it had 55K miles on it. I think you getting ripped off big time. Anyone agree with me?
