Whenever I turn the air conditioning on, it feels like I get less power while driving. When in stopped at a light it feels like my car is about to stall. Otherwise the A/C works fine.

that isn't ac problem, it is engine problems, there are 100's of reasons why engines do that under load, we have threads on pbly all of them, use search.
