just got my car and it seems to run fine but once it gets up to temp it idles at around 500rpm and the oil light comes on and then the temp goes up alot but if i give it a little gas and get it up to 1500rpm everything seems fine and the temp drops down i have enough oil and i changed the filter could my oil pump be bad or do i need to just adjust the idle screw?

i may be wrong, but shouldnt it idle more that? adjust it and see if it works...it won't hurt it.
