hey, i have a 99 eclipse(its manual) and when i shift from 1st to 2nd it makes a wierd electric grinding noise but only when i go from 1st to 2nd and from 3rd to 2nd. anyone know what the problem is? or how to fix it?

electric grinding??? not sure how that would sound. could be a synchronizer problem? is the fluid good, any check engine light?
