I have a 2001 blazer extreme. It has 120,000 on the motor. I wanna make this baby pretty quick. Should i do a 350 motor swap because of some-what high miles. Or should i just mod my stock 4.6 vortex with turbo and intercooler and all those great mods?..help me decide fellow cf's. thanks-stevie

Rebuild the 4.3 and do a turbo kit. Those are sick! A 350 would be cool but you would have to swap the tranny, prob a custom drive shaft, stronger suspension for the added weight, and maybe a rear end depending on the HP and torque of the 350 which is prob too much for the stock rear end. But, if you go turbo on the 4.3, depending on how far you went with it, you could break those parts anyway. Really, it comes down to how fast you want it to be. Figure that out and go from there. Be prepared to drop some bank on it tho.

you just need a vortec 350 and computer, they have the same sensor plugs/distibutor and tranny... try and get one from a bigger truck (suburban 2500 or bigger) those are roller blocks with 4 bolt mains... and if you want you can take the 4L80E out of the truck aswell (if it has it) that's a much stronger trans than the 4L60E and will fit the same way with some modification to the crossmember
