When im driving my Cavalier, some of the lights come on in the dash like the car shut off and it dings like it just started up , but it dont shut off.. And the radio shuts off and on.. it does this if i let off the gas, turn the lights on, or push the brake... it can be a short but where? PLEASE HELP!! THANKS...

check the wires along the steering column, all those wires run right along it near the break/gas pedal,

it sounds like the car THINKS the engine turned off because one of the wires came off and reconnected (oil pressure or ignition I'm thinking)

OR everything turns off but the engine is still spinning fast enough to keep it going when the fuel injectors/ignition start firing again

whichever it is those wires are still right there so you should check those first
