Blah, The EVO lost on the launch and the BMW was drifting? WTF is that? Poor drivers on both accounts.

Oh come on guys, you just can't handle the BMW doing so well, admit it. Not to mention, I have also said the same thing that they mentioned in the video. The new Evos are designed to appeal to more of the market, not just to kids. so they added alot of things to the car so that it wasn't just a high school kid's wet dream.
Once again, if the 135i would have been out when i was shopping, I would eb driving one of those.

It costs the same as the EVO or STi. ;)That's the biggest reason they compared the two.

I think he means they are overpriced overall even if that is the case. But he might even imply than Evo and Sti's are overpriced after all there is nothing as good for value as the 5.7 LS1, 6.2L LS3, 6.2L LS9, 7.0L LS7 or 8.4L V10 Viper.

Here we go again...:eyeroll: This isn't the IvD section. If you can afford a $50,000 for a bare sports car, plus the insurance, plus the fuel mileage... I guess that's your thing.
I digress. That's not the point of this thread. :icon12:

delta fails again. 1 series is the cheapest BMW you can buy, not counting motorcycles.
If anything, it's one of the few BMWs that are actually a good value.
As for the drifting, Top Gear driver's drift 10x worse than that...but we all love Top Gear.

Just looked, the 135i starts at $36k, same as the WRS, Evo, and the Camaro SS, with all of the goodies that the BMW has at almost base, is $34,000. In the long run, the Camaro is going to severely cost more too, due to fuel and the fact that the BMW has a maintanence program that makes all general stuff free.
So, I don't understand where you would get it's too expensive.

Do they even make a 135i Convertible?
I personally would much rather the coupe and the 335i for that price.

care to elaborate?
The 135 is superior in every performance standard. It's almost exactly the same as the E92 minus a few inches of wheelbase and 100lbs.

Yeah it's just the room issue, I mean you get a vehicle that lacks spacial usability as a daily driver when compared to relatively similar priced 335i. I am willing to sacrifice a few tenths of performance, a little bit extra weight and some better handling characteristics in a car, in order to get a few extra inches of wheelbase, which can result in more cabin room, 2 extra doors, and just as fun to drive and responsive motor.

And I wouldn't, I hate having more than one other person in the car with me. Infact every vehicle I have had appart from two have had the rear seats removed.

Out of the 2 of them I would choose the evo. I'm not a fan of small cars for everyday use. The 135i is a better performance car out of the box but the evo is no slouch. If you wanted a track car you would choose the evo, with a tune I don't know of another car that can hang with it around the track for the same price. The only car that I can think of that would come close would be a 08 used LS3 vette and that would be a close race around a track as long as the track doesn't have a very long straight away.

A tuned 335i is no slouch either. A Vishnu piggy back Evo makes about 290 whp. And a Vishnu or JuiceBox piggyy back 135i makes about 355 whp
