Another great example of how a smaller discplaced turbo engine can have a nice advantage if your plans are only light modification. Car sounded and ran great. 460ft-lbs of tq from a 6 cylinder without any internal mods is pretty sick. Still, I think they dumped about $10k into the 335i. To alot of people, that still alot of money out of pocket, but still $15k or more less expensive than the M3 in total cost.

The Juice Box and Vishnu Procede piggy backs make more power for a lot less money.

Ummm, no. I believe that the Vishnu piggy is less expensive, but it's not making more power. I know this because a) I almost bought a 335i and had the link to buy that piggy back bookmarked to buy it as soon as I got the car b) The Denan comes with induction and exhaust, not just a tune.

Lastly, the Vishnu piggy back doesn't account for an exhaust and induction and your altitude. It won't have as much hp as it would if you had it dyno tuned specific for your area.

Most of these companies make you pay alot of money, but think of this. How much money would it cost to have a full exhaust, have them installed, induction, have that installed, suspension, have it installed, then finally, dyno tuned? You're missing some of the big picture here. A piggy back isn't as good as a dyno tune.

Some things are left out of this comparison tho that I'd like to add:

You can get a Vishnu standalone package that comes with intake and exhaust and makes 420hp AND costs less than the Dinan.

Dinan performance tunes are no longer honored under warranty which means the 335i from this comparo is warranty-less

The 135i looks better (IMO), is a little lighter (approx. 100lbs.) and a little more nimble due to a shorter wheelbase.

If that damn 135i would have been out when I was shopping for a car, I would probably be driving one of those
