Unfortunately, the market doesn't have room for alot of "raw" performence vehicles. The Evo, WRX, vette, S4 etc, all have been "refined". There are just too few people that can handle 350hp of raw power without killing themselves. not to mention, adding all kinds of assistance type technology also helps prevent having to do warranty work.

And your right about the softening and coming to the aiding business. Heck even the Golf GTI a "real" performance car, has gone soft over the decades and increased in weight quite substantially due yo the electronic gizzmos. Ferrari is going much to soft also. When are we ever going to see cars as pure as an F40 or McLaren F1 ever again?
