A couple days ago, it got harder to shift, kinda gritty sounding. Then yesterday morning, I wake up to start me car, it starts, but WILL NOT go into gear. The Clutch feels completely dead. I have checked the fluid level and its full... what should I do and how much does it cost? thanks

You are going to need either a clutch master cylinder or a slave cylinder....from the sounds of it, the clutch master cylinder has gone out..

First..make sure there is no air in the line...gonna have to bleed it to be sure...

Second...have someone push the clutch in while you look under the truck at the slave cylinder....see if its moving, if it isnt...which is very likely, the master or slave cylinder is dead...if it is, either the throwout bearing is gone, or the fork is broke/bent.

I don't no if an 87 is hydrolic or cable but if it is cable you need a new clutch or throwout bearing and if it is hydrolic supercel is probably right slave or master cylinder.
