my nova is continually overheating, i have changed the thermostat, filters all that stuff. the other day my radiator started leaking and i put some of that quick sealing stuff in it until i can get it fixed, and the temp gage dropped to about halfway, for teh first time since i 've owned the car. today i could barely drive one mile from my house for fear of my engine exploding from high temp.
any ideas on what the problem might be?

Overheating Nova -  Check: fan belt,  Ignition timing, pressure cap, plugged radiator,   Hoses for collapsing,   stuff in front of radiator,  slow leak in system,  water pump blades gone,  internal damage to water pump housing. Good luck
