the other day.. i was parking.. then i shift from -D to R-.. and suddenly the car juss died... then i was able to start it up with no problem at all.. and parked perfectly... why did the car died suddenly wen i shift from -D to R- to park.. dot dot dot.. plz lemme no if u guys no anythin.. thanx =]:)

As for your problem, could be a bad tank of gas, clogged fuel filter (needs tune-up?) or ISC/Throttle body is gummed up.

haha, could be any one of numberous things. Let's start with the IAC. What else were you doing when shifting into reverse??? Im gonna take a wild guess and say that you were turning the wheels sharply while not moving while/slightly after you were shifting into R.

I'm gonna go ahead and not type what I was going to because 99 beat me to it.

hmm.... i wasnt doin anythin b4 shifting.. i push the brake
then shift to D to R.. the car rocked a lil wen i was shifting.. then died

Mitsu's can do some strange things,i have a 91 Mitsu,great car,and when the computer started going bad,strange,strange things with the car were going on,before figuring out what it was.Anyways,if the check engine light is on,have it scanned.
