lol slight problem...evo is WAAAY out of my price range. and i cant sell it because it has to last me to either college, or until my little brother learns to drive. college is a yaer or two away.

converting your car to awd would cost more then buying an evo

You bastard...my galant still ownz...
But in any case...sell it and buy an impreza...like a late 90's model. better than a lancer, and you can get a nice one for easy money.

Or...save for college and not spend too much money in upgrades and use it instead to keep it running well.

I would call every junkyard or wrecked car place and find a wrecked evo Buy it and transfer whatever you need from the wrecked evo to your lancer, probably would be hard to find but chances are its the cheapest way

the lancer's chassis is different from the evo's chassis.
even if you had all the parts: halfshafts, hubs, transfer case, mounts, etc. it wouldn't all just bolt on and fit. you'd have to modify the body extensively, which may include beating, cutting, and welding to make stuff fit.

Add up the cost of the parts/chassis work and the difference would be negligible (if not more). As stated, better just to sell it and get something else or just deal with what you have until you can save up.

I know plenty of people who wanted to do this with there front wheel drive 3000gt and stealth s its better to sell and by awd the cost of everthing will take you to much to covert

Aren't FWD and AWD the same thing? Can someone explain the difference to me, or send me a pm?

Haha I'm such an idiot, when I read "FWD" I immediately thought "four wheel drive" lol.
Feel free to make fun, I can take it.

No, you guys are wrong. I helped convert a local Eclipse Spyder GS-T to GSX. It is one of about 7 in the world that exists and the only one thats Auto. We do crazy shit like that around here. Next is a 4G63 power Del Sol.
Luckliy though, we had a spare AWD hard top Talon laying around and a VERY good welder.
Now, back on topic. You should just keep your car and wait for the right time to buy an AWD DSM. If you want to keep learning. Then find DSMers/EVO owners near you and be an extra hand, ask lots of questions and read alot online. (DSMTuners.com is a GREAT source).

it's a early 90's sentra that someone has made awd and on top of that it's a600+ hp sr20 turbo. Google "awd, sentra" And you will find it.
