Why do you want an automatic? That sounds like a good price but you could maybe get a cheaper car with manual transmission.

If it only means being hated for life by some guy on an Internet forum, I think I can live with that. All I know is, I get a ton of positive comments on my car from people I actually meet from day to day. And it is popular with the ladies, moreso than my vette ever was. The horror :)

just found this out, but if you get a 3g eclipse it's better getting the 4 cylinder since the engine is a stroked 4g63

Don't listen to these guys, listen 3rd gen eclipses are a waste of money to make fast, they don't have a lot of potential unless you have loads of cash to blow, the only reason a "guy" would want one is basically to pick up chicks.

Personally theres better looking cars out there in my opinion for the money that girls think are "nice or hot" or whatever you want to call it, but get a car because you like it overall, not just what everyone thinks of it. I mean no matter what car you buy someone out there is going to hate on it, even if it costs a million dollars, I know people that think Ferrari Enzos, Buggatti Veyron's etc. are a waste of money, ugly, slow, blah blah blah so I mean buy a car if you really think its worth your $$$$ and time to fix/build.
