get a haynes or chilton's for your car. it'll help a lot.
if you can follow directions and you have all the tools, then it might take you a day to do for the first time and without air tools to help speed things up.
i'm in school learning to be a technician and it took me from 8:30 till about 4 to do a timing belt on an 01 accord. another student has been working on his civic's belt for a week and a half, but it seems he can't follow directions well.
this car involved taking the splash shield and valve cover off, unbolting the power steering pump and alternator, unbolting the driver's side engine mount and upper and lower timing belt covers and triple-checking to make sure the belts areon the sprockets right since it's an interference engine.

okay basically what you got to do first is line up your sprockets there are little markes on your gears(refering to the head) then you have to go to the block and turn you crank to get the first piston halfway up on compresion (hint: take out the spark plug and use a long extension to look at to see where you pistion is on the compresion) then this should be accourte timing

Some nice VFAQs HERE (http://www.vfaq.com/index-main.html) including one on the 420A Chrysler Timing belt (http://www.vfaq.com/mods/timingbelt-2G-NT.html).
Definitely not a procedure you want to skip steps in, especially with an interfearance engine :icon12:
