View Full Version : im looking for a rear wheel drive project tuner... suggestions

i just havent been a member long enough to post a thread on ALL imports, so i just used mitsubishi but im lookin for a rear wheel drive car for a project this winter I already build a 95 eclipse rs last winter but its just a show car!! :) now plannin to build a tuner more toward an all around drifter style!! :bump: IF ANYONE CAN SUGGEST SUM REAR WHEEL DRIVE CARS OUT THERE, LET ME KNOW....PLEEZZEE!! :)

Corrola SR5 (or whatever the name is)
MKIII supra
FD RX7 (domestic V8 swapped preferably)
early model Z
early Z32
old S car (like a 600 or 800, always wanted one of those)

Ever considered some of the old british roadsters MG triumph

240sx owns drifting. especially with an LS1 swap. IMO, hands down the best JAPANESE car ever built.

dang!! thanks... im gonna look some up and see if there are any for sale around here, this is deffinitly going to help me out. and yea, well my dad has a 19sumthin mg td, its pretty sweet, but not the tuner style im more into, but i still cruise it around when its nice out!! :)

thats good kid. Just make sure you do your research. LOTS AND LOTS of research.

yea im gunna worry about that once i get the car the problem now is not how to do the swap
its how to get the money to buy the car to be able to think about doin the swap...

I would recommend the FC RX7 over the FD simply due to cost if the budget is tight. The TII offers an awesome chassis for a low cost.

I'm sorry they use ford motors, not the LS1... I could've sworn the used the LS1.

Would be cool to see a drifter Conquest/Starion. Since you have the DSM-experience, swap a 4G63 in there via a Buschur engine/trans adapter plate and boost on :)
