WOW! Black Leather Trim... that's really rare. This car is very clean, but I wouldn't go by that.
Take the car to someone who knows these cars (like me) in your area or a Mitsubishi Dealership before you actually buy it. Let the owner know that you are going to do that first, his reaction usually tells you alot about possible hidden problems with the car. Perfect example, I told a guy selling a Prelude, that I was taking it to a Honda tuner guru to inspect it. The seller refused to let me get it inspected and would not let me test drive the car after that. The car was prestine inside and out, obviously detailed before I saw it. The only problem was a small whine when I drove it the first time. I later found out that it ran over something and put a small hole in the transmission.

Sounds pricey to me for a GST. If you can talk him down, sounds like a good deal. Definitely bring it to someone who knows cars to get it checked. Was the water pump and timing belt done and when? Listen for any odd ticking noises from the engine.

Then you paid too much. ;) I'd never pay anything near that for a FWD dsm. No way. I paid 7k for my AWD with 52k miles. My car was a garage-queen.
KBB means nothing. It doesn't matter what they value it, even insurance companies have their own car values. A car is only worth what someone is willing to pay.

lol, Then it wasn't worth the $6500 because you didn't pay that for it. ;) $2k is definitely a good price tho. I'd say $4500-$5k tops is fair for a GST/TSi with a stock 7bolt still in it. Low mileage 2gs are kind of a hazy area in value. Low miles sounds good...but its a greater chance of crankwalking if its under 100k. Higher miles on a 7bolt means the engine is probably good, and has a less likely chance of crankwalking.
Yeah, GST stands for Grand Sport-Turbo.
