i am looking into buying a 2000 Camaro and i was wondering whats the difference between the Regular, SS, and Z28 camaros? thanks

You have no idea what you just started.
Z28 is a GM RPO (regular production option) that meant something like high performance package back in the day. If you look it up now you'll probably see "high performance suspension package" written next to it.
Every option on a GM vehicle has a RPO to go with it. Z71 means off road suspension package and some not commonly known are such as NX7 which means variable effort steering. When I worked at a salvage yard I used to have to look those things up all day to find information about specific parts.
To answer your question I'm not even 100 percent sure what the difference is so I'm not going to speculate, I'll let some Camaro expert do that.
