I am hearing this ringing noise from under the hood in my eclipse. Its only when im at a stop sign that i can actually hear it, and its actually significantly able to be heard. Its the 420a engine. I noticed its also mainly when its warmed up, and usually only after i get off the highway. Anything will help, just wanna make sure nothings screwed up, let me know, Thanks.

also i found that the noise also occurs after i stop even with city driving. Hopefully someone can tell me if this is normal or not.

could bea bearing int he belt drive setup, or a pulley, maybe a belt...

well i just replaced my head gasket. Since i did that, could it be somthing with the timing, since i did do that too. Is it bad or is it normal usually. Thanks

I also think its something to do with a belt or timing.

try putting ac on, if noise still there and didn,t change tone, than it isn,t a berring, try looking for loose heat shield.
