the biggest problem is where is the water coming from. Do you have a sunroof? Does it leak? Has the car been in any major accidents?

no the sunroof doesnt leak. i think its coming from the door inbetween the glass and weather stripping by the side mirror...but the weather stripping doesnt look bad, so im not sure why its leaking and it doesnt do it on the drivers side.

does it do it when your car is still sitting? It could be leaking through the windshield. Leaking through the door is the most likely situation. Being it's a 96 I doubt the floor is rotting through, so I doubt that's the problem. THe only 3 places it could be coming from is the sunroof which you said is fine, the door, or the windshield

do this, let your friend hose(or better use pressure washer) the door in question and look from inside for leaks, also make sure your window presses firmly against whetherstriping all around, cuz my friends subaru was leaking too after he replaced glass, it wasn,t adjusted and rolled up to high, so when he closed the door, bottom part of the glass actually moved away from the rubber on the body, i had to remove door panel and adjust the glass, (something you never do on framed doors), also if the door was damaged and repared(instead of replace) the tracks that guide the window, might be off and not press the glass right. this is not a problem on framed doors but framless are different.

it was raining hard last night so i got in the car to look and its coming in through the window on the passenger side door. and my doors are frameless. so i would have to take the panel off and see if the window is on the track right?
