In my '02 sunfire It has been making a clicking noise durning turnes for a long time but now it is making that sound going strate down the road too. I beleve that noise is comming from the cv joints. just the other day when I make a turn it is making a squealing sound comming from the same place. now is this still the cv joint or is it somthing else?

EDIT: More than likely a belt. But if it happens during a turn in a certain direction, check the wheel bearing on the opposite side of the direction you're turning when it makes the noise.

clicking noise=axle, cv joint
squeal noise(while turning)=tire pressure, alighnment
thou it is in general your specific case might be different.

Im glad someone brought this up, cause im having the same problem(stupid eclipse, it breaks, i fix it, and it breaks somewhere else). Anyways, when i turn both left and right, there is a noise that sounds like a scraping or gridinging noise and it clicks, kinda like if the brake pads are grinding on the rotors type noise. Its obviously not the brakes but thats the closest noise i can think of. The noise comes from the front and i dont know exactly where in the front. Could this be a CV joint or is it somthing else. Thanks guys.

sounds like it.
put it on the lift, put it in drive let wheels spin, turn the st.wheel and listen to noises, this way you'll spot it much faster.

yeah, the clicking is most definitely your CV joint(s). And a wheel bearing sounds almost exactly like the wear indicator on a brake pad.

um...probably the power steering belt, man. Probably not the wheel bearings. Here's how you tell. Belts will squeak at a dead stop when you turn the steering wheel. Bearings only squeak while the car is in motion and moreso when turning.

Yup it is only squealing while in motion. so it is the wheel bearings.
