I have recently bought a 97 mitsubishi eclipse. I want to get more power from it and also make it sound good. I have bought a weapon-r air intake and that is about it. I want to get new headers high flow cat and catback exhaust. I want it to sound deep and not be raspy. So any segestions for a good catback system with a good sound.

I'm not too up on my DSM performance techniques, but from what I can recall there's not much headroom in the non-turbo block. You may want to consider holding off on the small stuff and saving up for a turbo engine swap.

The reason that I do not want to do a swap is because the turbo engines are put in fliped a round compared to the non-turbo engines. I am planning to buy a new moter and put a turbo kit on that next summer but until then I want to do the small stuff.

Why would you want to purchase headers if you plan to turbo your car, sounds like a waste of money, get a downpipe for now, that will open up your exhaust and will work well with the intake, You can straight pipe it which will guaruntee you power. Get an underdrive pulley which is good for 8-10 horses, then practice your driving, lighten up take exceess weight out.

In all honesty, your better off buying a GSX or GS-T. With the set up you have now, its too complicated and costly to efficiently do a swap. I looked into it out of my own out of curiousity, which i will never swap an engine in my car anyways, but just to see prices. If your gonna do a swap, buy a car that is already built to handle a higher output for horses than a GS Eclipse.

yea it is probroly a dumb idea to want to change moters it is to hard and i would well put morte money into it than i bought it for and it is too complicated and hard.
so what are the best brands and best items that i should install to my car

look on craigslist and find an awd talon or eclipse that needs some work rather than waste your money on that.
