Hey, i'm 16 from BC canada, and my b-day is in nov, i'm planning on doing a 350 swap into a '89 Nissan 240sx. few questions though:

How much horsepower can a stock 350 4 bolt main withstand?

How much HP could the stock connecting arms hold?

Is there a supercharger that will bolt up with medium boost?

Are there any headers or exhaust manifolds that could run turbos in an convient location

If u havent put it together yet i'm planning on Twincharging.

I already know i have to stiffen the chasis, and cut all engine mounts and fab new ones so dont bring it up.

Also i know all of the propper parts to use these power-adders together, ( I'm currently trying to get my hands on a HKS super sequential blow off vaulve, and an undecided wastegate, and i'm looking for a programable boost controller ( has 4 settings that can be programed with diffrent levels of boost for the situation, so basically the supercharger will always provide boost but the turbos give extra :D ))

any ideas on how i should prep the engine to endure this power?

I'm already hot on the trail for a older chev 350 or 383 - 4 bolt main

i'm looking for awnsers not links and please don;t post irrelivant thoughts thoes are just annoying, thanx

any info helps

thanx

the cast iron manifolds? you would have to cut the flanges and weld on new ones that will fit for the turbo. but that wont hold up with the cast iron manifolds. you can buy turbo headers for 350's on ebay pretty cheap.

nah dude, you just have to cut off the flanges and then weld them back on upside down.

ya i think i'll try that that way i can mount the turbos up and at and easier access point , allso i'd have less piping to run

There are TONS of crate engine 350-406 SBC that make over 500 horsepower. Forget the turbo(s). You at 16 will not be able to make header and an oiling system that will support turbos. Even with 400 ponies it will be way to much car for you. I would just get a GM crate from GM with the 320 hp. This will be more power than you will need and be able to kick ricer butt.

BTW-I am the chevy guy around here, I cut my teeth on SBC. Any questions about them I can handle. Send me a PM.
