Heres the the deal. MY Girlfriend bought the car and it already had the wiring harness. I need to know were to connect the wires as they have all came apart. Heres what i got... On the Harness is the following; 1 Yellow, 1 Black (Ground), 1 Red, 1 Blue (Remote), 2 Whites, 2 Purples, 2 - Green, and 2 - Gray..... On the car i have; 2 Black, 2 Gray, 1 Tan, 1 Brown, 1 - Green, 1 - Lime Green, 1 - Yellow, 1 - Blue, 1 - Light Blue, 1 - Orange, 1 - Purple. Any help on were all these wires go would be awesome. I'm pretty much going insane. I might have to buy another wiring harness just for the diagram but I'd rather not do that if it wasnt necessary. thanks in advance.

What would help us significantly is the exact model and year of your car, the wiring harness brand and type, and lastly your CD player's brand and model number.

Car is a 2000 Cavalier Wiring Harness is a Shoshe one probably from wal-mart and the CD player is a Sony and I'm not sure of the model number

That would be an important one. Different models even within the same manufacturer can have different colored wires depending on date of manufacture, etc.

My advice is to spend another 15-20 bucks and get another wire set with the directions. It will be more helpful than us trying to walk you through it over the net.

What ever brand CD player you have, most brands have the wiring diagram on their website. Check it out.
