My mercury 98 sable was in wreck a month ago. Car was t-boned on right side and both side door are unable to be opened. Took it to body mechanic who said he can't do anything without having to repair or redo entire body.

Since getting it back I've attempted to straighten out part of the doors so that they can at least be opened and locked properly. Disregarding cosmetic look with paint job and going for functionability for now. Have managed to use a few tools to straighten out doors which now can open and lock properly (not great but still wip). Question is I had to remove panel to rear right side in order to get inside door. How to I put it back on? Remvoed it by simply poping it off where screws attach. Now can't seem to get panel to align with lock handle and such. Any recomendations?

Junk yard door....I would pull it and have it paint matched. These days it would be cheaper do that than have the body shop attempt to fix it and paint it. The little plastic screws should have mounts on the door panel. Get them back in the panel and then it should press on. Some door panels have to guided on higher then lowered onto the door. With out seeing it I cant be for sure. Could you post a pic of the door and ant panel. I could walk you through it...??
Best of luck.
