I have a 1983 Camaro Z28. Like I said in the title, I can't get the rear hatch open! I can fold down the license plate and put the key in, but it won't turn. I tried pliers, but the key would start to bend...
I wasn't able to see anything from the inside of the car to unlatch it either. Any ideas? Thanks for the help. Should I post this is the general forum too?

could try spraying some corrosion-eater or lubricant into the keyhole.
works for an F-150 whose lock cylinders freeze up from time to time.

Ok, I tried spraying in some WD40, no go. Does this qualify as lubricant?

Yes, WD40 does count as a lubricant. How long did you let it sit? To me it sounds jammed though, you may have to resort to drilling but try letting it sit a while first (overnight). Good luck.
