what are the EXACT difference. for instance i know one if forged, one has heads that like spray, the other has heads that crave boost. what re the differences between these two motos. pro's and con's. can someone give or find me a good write up on them?

The LSX engines are aluminum and 6 bolt main. It is a totally different engine than the LT line. I think the LT still used distributers too.

lt1 second generation 350 with reverse flow cooling that allowed for higher compression, ls1 third generation 350
thats all i know for now

I remember reading somewhere that the LT1's rear main seal sucked and would break under boost.

The LT-1 and 4's used a one piece rear main seal that is prone to leaks. I had a LT-1 in the SS before the gen I I stabbed in there. No skol like the old skol. The opti-spark is a pain in the ass and it needed to be upgraded. The coil on plug like the LS engine is much better. The LT was backwards cooling. The LS changed the firing order to make a better torque curve, which it does.

its the ignition GM used on the LT's. kinda sucks.
