Hi,

I have a 97 Buick Century Custom. For some reason, the low beams aren't working. I replaced the bulb in both lights, checked fuses, traced wiring back to underhood fuse box, and wiring on headlight assembly. Lights checked out ok, fuses are good, wiring back to fuse box is good, and wiring on headlight assembly is good. The high beams work and parking lights work. The turn signal on the front driver's side doesn't work either, even though the parking light works. Not sure what it could be at this point. Does anyone have any suggestions? I can drive the car with high beams on, as they are not all that bright right now, but when I replace them, they will be really bright and blind others.

Thanks,

Chris

i suspect the dimmer switch...

you may need to replace it.

I see how that could be possible. After all, only the right turn signal works as well, which is also controlled by the dimmer switch.

Posting an update...When I swapped the right headlight assembly with the left, the left signal worked. I bought a new left headlight assembly and left turn signal works, low beams do not. Debating on whether I should buy a switch. It is the multifunction switch. My expectations is that if the blinkers, wipers, and high beams work, the switch is good. I could be wrong though.
