We are looking to purchase either the Escalade or the Denali. We need something with at least 6 seats, so the Range Rover is out. We also want the extended version, (3 kids and lots of stuff!). I've researched both on the net pretty exetensively and really can't decide which way to go...so what are your opinions? Also, it comes only in AWD, how does that compare to 4wd? We have a King Ranch F250 now and use the 4wd a lot in winter...

Also, I've seen the Denali w/ a 6 seat configuration, 3 rows of 2. Does the Escalade come that way?

I've heard the AWD gets worse mpg, the newer Escalades have AWD also. What year models are you looking at?

Overall though, if you want all the goodies and a nice ride then I would go with the Cadillac.

i got an escalade AWD its an awsome car it rides very smoothly and is very comfortable pretty spacious never been in a Denali but yeah. If you live in a snowy area like me AWD really really helps the MPG isnt so great but hey its a SUV

The Denali is a line of special vehicles. I am assuming you meant the Yukon?

I know this thread is old, but thought I would ask. Honestly, I don't believe you will save on fuel with a full sized SUV compared to a 4WD that you can take out of 4WD.

Hello, I have also recently had to make a similar decision. Here is my two cents. My top priorities were, comfort, space and room for 8 (4 adults, 3 children and a toddler).

I purchased a 2006 Escalade (brand new) as it offers are more luxurious ride and feel. The quality of the Escalade (leather, seats, etc) cannot be compared to the Denali, Escalade is premium!

I test drove both SUV numerous times over a span of two weeks. I just kept getting the feeling that the Denali was a Suburban on Steroids - No offense to anyone).

I have only had the Escalade a few days and love it!

New to this forum, but between the Denali or the Escalade. I'd go with the Escalade for ride/comfort, but I'd take the Denali if you don't care what type of road/terrain you go through.

I am pretty sure the original poster was deciding between the GMC Yukon Denali and the Cadillac Escalade. They are pretty much the same vehicle, except the Escalade is more prestige.

I put myself in this same decision about a month ago and I am pretty sure I am going to purchase the Escalade. I have just been looking for the right one recently. As soon as I find it, it will be mine. :tongue:
