I'm a newbie here and I have a problem with the auto locking doors in my GS.

It locks/unlocks the doors when it's put in/out of gear automatically. Never did care for that feature. The problem started a couple of months ago when I put the car in park, it won't unlock the driver's door. I pulled the fuse labeled "Lock Control Fuse" according to the owners maual but the problems still presests. I've even replaced the fuse.

Also, if the car gets turned off before I hit the lock switch, the doors will not unlock. You can hear the locks activate, but they do not unlock. I have to restart the car to unlock the door.

I suggest you get your car checked by an experienced technician.

I'm hoping to avoid another costly diagnosis.

I've removed the top of the console to try and locate the sensor for the auto door locks. Unfortunately there wasn't anything obivious. I replaced the fuse again, and so far, it will unlock after I turn off the car. For the most part.

While the lock issue is some what co-operating, I think I'm going to find the car a new home.

This has been one of many little things that have gone wrong with the car in the 1.5 yrs I've owned it. It's turned not being the good deal I thought it was then.
