i have a 1995 eagle talon tsi.. ive only had it for about two months now and the same problems keep coming back. it vibrates VERY bad, but my brother is changing my engine mounts one at a time, so its starting to go away - but now when i accelerate there is a grinding-vibrating kind of sound coming from the back of my car..
i am also very frustrated because my bill at mitsubishi rang up to $792.00 and a month later [now] the saaaame exact problems are back. heres my problems -
my car idles low and shakes but i figure its the mounts. when i turn on my dash lights there is a high ringing sound coming from the engine. when i turn on my headlights the sound gets very dull and deep and either my lights start flickering [dim, bright, dim, bright] or my battery light, check engine light, and brake light all come on at the same time and then my engine just putters out and dies. i took it to advanced auto and the guy told me everything passed [alternator, regulator, battery] but he said my battery wiring was 'jerry-rigged', so a bad connection was causing my problem. i took my car to mitsubishi, they said thats not it, didnt listen to me OR my brother and went about their business, replaced my battery [it was only 4 mos. old] and a bunch of other tiny things.. after that everything was fine.. for like 3 weeks :[ and now all of the problems have returned. my rpm's are also all over the place when im in park... but only sometimes. mitsubishi told me to call chrysler and ask them about it, but when i did the lady i talked to said chrysler no longer works on eagles, and they cant answer questions about them.
and one more thing :D [sorry] my other brother borrowed my car the other day to go to work [about an hour all interstate from our house] and said he was going between 80-100mph the whole time.. the problems i was having didnt come back til that when night i was trying to go out [and obviously couldnt].. could something may have overworked something?
i dont know what to do.. i dont know a lot about vehicles but im learning, so ANY help at all would be verrrry very appreciated :] thanks
