I'm a little tight on Money and would like to have some sort of idea when I walk into the mechanic what the problem could be - so I don't get taken for more than I should.

I noticed yesterday after a car wash and wax that there was some steam (smoke) coming from under the hood of the car. I assumed it was just because of the wash and that it was 30 degrees outside. This morning on the way to work everything seemed to be fine and then when stopping at a red light I noticed smoke again coming from the hood area. The car has started to shake when you go over 55 mph and a burning smell if you go over 65.
Any ideas?

Sounds like maybe the serpentine drive belt got some wax on it. I would still have it checked out, though.
